It's All Good - Week #39
Howdy yall. What's up! Another solid week over here in Lex. I'll give you the run down real quick.. fridays got the meat and potatoes of the week.
So Tuesday got some good biking in while getting drenched...also got hit by a car so that was nice. Also, had a solid lesson with Victor, then English class. Good stuff
Wednesday- missionary wise was the best. We had quality contacts and dope lessons. It felt good. Then Luke opened his mission call and is going to San Antonio!! Congrats man!
Thursday we had disco, a little exchange with our zls and free dinner with the YSA. But at the end of the day we were practicing our song for his hands and we get a call...we can't sing that song. Pres vetoed the song 3 weeks after we asked if we could play it, and 1 day before we were supposed to record it. We were kinda depressed, so we bought doughnuts and caught fireflies. But then the social media bois clutched up and at like 10:20 we get the green light. They managed to convince pres that this was ok. So we all were feeling good.
Friday was wilding!! So this was the big day, were filming and recording the song for his hands. We also had to help sur move into their new apartment, and volleyball night, and we had exchanges that night. So we get all up and dressed at the church at 8 and get a text that the social media bois are gonna be a bit late. We practiced for a bit and balled up in pros for a bit, while we were waiting for 2 hours. So they pull up and we record all the parts of the song, I think I did alright. We got the job done. Afterwards we went to a Mongolian bbq which always slaps. They we rolled over to surs apartment and moved everything out of their apartment. I always seem to end up doing moves in suit pants which is the worst. The move was soon much more complicated then I should have been with like 4 companionships there. At one point we had a lesson in 5 minutes and the hermana needed our car so we took the Frenchie's car and whipped around town in a torrential downpour to a lesson real fast. We come back after and the zls with elder Horne show up to help finish up. At this point we still needed to film the video for his hands, so we now take the zls car and bring the social media bois to film downtown with us while the move gets finished up. That was sick. This homeless guy was convinced we were an actual band even though were literally just playing the song on a speaker and faking it for the video, but he had us all sign a dollar bill. So many random people were taking pics of us in the middle of downtown, it was kinda lit. It was a bit rainy but hopefully it looks good. So then we go back to sure apartment and get dropped off at volleyball night, in our suit pants. So balling up was a heck of a time. Then an actual family of volleyball players who had a missionary in the MTC, pulled up and needed 2 more, so me and Hughes balled up with this squad of actual volleyball players. It went hard. But then just in case the day wasn't long enough we had exchanges that night. I went with Hughes and Ginther to Baja. Apparently the apartment above ours caught on fire and filled the entire complex with smoke at 2 AM so they got up on out of there and finally got to sleep at Beaumonts.
Saturday was popping with Hughes, he's always a good time. We knocked this random door and 2 homies from English class opened. We were like "oh shoot", had a first lesson and invited them to Saturday soccer. So later we pull up to soccer night...and no one is there. So we waited and like 25 minutes later Eduardo, Juan, and the homie we just invited came and brought more homies!! So soccer night popped off!! It was soooooo sick. We literally were all drenched after playing, it was the best.
Sunday was a classic, Bobadilla's food....then oh wait...we helped move a piano into our apartment. So now we have a piano in our apartment. Good stuff.
So that was a lot to write, so probably a lot to read. Love ya. Haha sorry about it. God is good, life is good, sometimes it's crazy, but it's worth it in the end. It's been a nice quality week. I'll try to snag more of the pics taken next week.
Te amo
