It's All Good - Week #33
Hello everyone!! What is up. Honestly my week popped off. It was a blast. Plus it was my birthday so thanks everyone!! Also, this is going to be a long email sorry about it.
Ok so Monday after our ward correlation we drive up to our apartment and the stls are there just waiting for us. They were there to take the car, ya hate to see it. So that sucked. And then we get a call from the ZLs saying they needed us to pick them up. So that was awkward. There are so many things and arguments I could made, honestly I could go on and on. But it's all good.
So Tuesday we really didn't want to bike so we planned out our week and got a ride to our dinner and English class. Twas a solid day...and then Beaumont called us and was like hey, wanna go running tonight. And so you know we said...yeah for sure, so we ran. It was a good time though.
Wednesday was the big day..bike day. And of course I was sore from running, and leg day on Monday. So you'd imagine we would take it kinda easy and...nope. Ingrid called and wanted us to teach her and her daughter. Soo we biked an hour and a little bit across Lexington to get to her house. And then she tells us oh no I just want you guys to help me move stuff out and then back into storage. So that's what we did for 4 hours. A party to say the least. We then had a lesson with Victor and it was pretty good. Then we had to bike across Lexington another time to get to presidentes for dinner. So literally the majority of our day was biking. Good stuff. Lexington is literally filled with hills, but not gonna lie, it's pretty. The rides in nice weather in downtown and everything around it are beautiful and it's always a fun ride.
Anyway Thursday we had district council and got the car from the hermanas, the other area in the car share. We did some studies and then drove out to Versailles (about 45 minutes away) and hit up an awesome referral. Then we get a call from the hermanas that they need the car....so we drive all the way back and swap up again. We got to bike through downtown in the rain which was a blast. Then had dinner with the Herreras. And then biked back
Friday was solid again, swaped with the hmas again. And actually got some good contacting done! And we had an awesome lesson with Rosa!
Saturday was a party!! At one point we were going to have 5 meal appointments but then 2 fell through, it's all good tho. So Saturday was my birthday and the Kentucky derby so you know it was gonna be lit. We started out doing some service. We cut some sod in an island and made space to plane flowers and trees. We called up Beaumont and they pulled up to. We were working and then all of a sudden..this lady yells at us from across the street up in her apartment complex. She goes, hey!! Who yall got for the derby today?? We had no idea which horses were even racing so we told her that. She just get shook out of her mind and goes, "this is Kentucky what the f***." Just imagine that in the most Kentuckian accent you can and bam you got it. We also got elder Horne to ask her if secretariat was still racing and she didn't take it very well. She was like, do I look stupid??? I'm 57.. then comes all the way down to us in the middle of the street and goes, ight ask me again if secretariat is racing. Elder Horne had no idea what to do haha. It was so funny, but then we talked about the derby for a while with her and it was all good. After that we went to the Chavez for breakfast which was more like a lunch. But it was fun. Ingrid called and wished me a happy birthday which was a nice surprise, and then she rescheduled lunch till Tuesday.. and she said she buy me a cake. Then we tried to go to lunch with Humberto but he never showed. RIP. Then we swapped the car out with the hermanas, and biked through downtown during all the derby festivities!! Wow that was awesome!! We biked to Hermano Lopez's and had dinner with him and martin!! Was awesome. Then..we biked back through the parties in downtown, to the Chavez again bc they had a cake for me. They are awesome. But my birthday was pretty awesome ngl, kinda weird but good.
Sunday we hit the usual, church and Bobadillas. Me and Chava ate a habanero with out any milk, food or anything and we took it like champs. Compared to getting it in my eye 1 wasn't bad. Today I'm getting a cake in my face from them so I'll add some pics later.
This is so long but this was an awesome week!! Lacys birthday is this week so happy birthday!! Love yall!!
Te amo
