It’s All Good - Week #11
This week zooomed by soo fast, I really dont know where it went. Anyway I’ll just kinda hop right into things.
Tuesday: the other elders in our appartment had exchanges with Tell city, and they brought up Stoche, so I got to see my boi and talk with him a bit, which was nice. We had some bomb lessons with Cary, and Brian. We also talked to Felicia about Thanksgiving, the kids, and family prayer, and it was sooooo adorable. We got all of the kids together and said a kinda family prayer. The kids have literaly infinite energy. Like the 3 year old Eli, llteraly one time he was just spinning in place for like 45 minutes straight, and it wasn't slow. My man then just dropped, face first onto the floor hard, and we’re like shoot, he’s dead. But then in a few seconds he bounced up and kept spinning. The kid's a beast.
Wednessday: We had dinner with a member family, and they made us some steaks that really popped off. I don’t know what he did, maybe it was the fact I haven't had too many steaks in the last 5 months, but man where they good. They are also just the happiest couple and its really a joy to be around them.
Thanksgiving!!! So to was pretty dope, our president basically said it’s another p-day bc pros isn’t the best during a holiday. So we played some pickle ball, and had dinner with a member. It was pretty solid, we had some turkey, some asparagus, and some ceviche, some pie, and more. My belt literally broke haha. Also Tristan got his mission call!!!! wooooooooo, thats so sick!! He’s going to be the best missionary!!!
Friday: We got a call in the morning asking if we could help these people move, so you know we gotta help them out. But it actually was loads of fun. His name was Alex Gregory if any of you know who that is, he’s apparently a country singer which is dope. Super nice guy. He had a lot of stuff ngl. Like almost 2 U-hauls packed tight, lots of stuff. But we grinded it out, we had some good company too. After we drove out an hour to the edge of our area, bc we had extra miles and hit a few dots there.
Saturday we had exchanges with Jasper again and I went to Jasper South, we mostly contacted all day with a little success but not a lot, kind of a long day ngl. I've been getting better at the guitar too, I have a little bit of the Coco song down, and Blackbirds so thats dope!!
Sunday we went to another boony area and hit some more dots, then we had dinner with the Scott’s. Also a blast. we had tacos and I think I had wayyy to many, but they told me I could haha, so it’s all good!
My spiritual thought today is from a talk by Neal A Maxwell on hope! The triad of hope, faith, and charity holds up our spirituality, and our happiness for that matter. As we seek to create genuine hope, faith, and charity we grow more Christlike and can change not only our lives, but the lives we help and come in contact with as well.
Another thing that was amazing this week was the continuation of the prophet’s message of hope. It was amazing to see all the things people were grateful for and the love they had for those things. Gratitude really can work miracles!! I'm grateful for every one of you.
Te amo
