It's All Good - #13

what is happening everybody! 

This week was a lot of change. I said hasta luego to brandner. Were planning on in a few months, having a squad reuinion with us, loftus and tristan and let me tell you, i'm looking forward to that for sure. gonna be a party.

So this week weve hit undine and christine pretty hard. They are the german lady and her daughter. They are part of "the truth" church and they are so funny. But we'll get there in a second

tuesday: This was one of brandners last 2 days so were saying goodbye to everybody. Sister hughlett gave us taco bell gift card, gift cards to the popcorn place, and ordiments with elder B and Elder P on them. She put bird on his but apparently brandner and petersen are too long to fit. Then..german time. We went over to undines house to talk and say goodbye. She apparently made us a german chocolate cake and apple strudel, and bought us regular apples. 

We had just ran through the taco bell drive through, bad decision. 2 cheasy gordita crunches, 2 slices of german cake and a apple fills the stomache pretty well haha. She also said she would read the book of mormon if I got her a german one and signed it. Thats wild bc, she is very stricly bible. so thats progress. But after that we went to colins house and hit a couple things. I love collin sooooooooo much. Hes so prepared and hes overcome his addictions and loves god and the gospel so much. I've seen it change him and bring his joy and happyness back, and its been the coolest thing. He loves temples, and is just the best! anyway he only needs the baptism interview and then hes good to go!!

Wednessday was a little bit slower, we had a lesson with brian, which went well. and we had dinner with will, and tristan and had some enchiladas. That was a fun night. Thats were we made the plan to met up after the mish. It was a good time. 

Thursday was transfers so thats always a weird day. We dropped off brandner and i picked up mctavish my new companion. Hes from farmington, New Mexico. He served in peru for 8 months before covid, and has been out like 17 months now. Hes kinda quiet, and its wack bc i´ve been teaching all the lessons, and contacting everyone. I´ve had a few headaches the past few days. We´ve been grinding though. 

 Thursday though we went out to this members private land and farm, and it was gorgous. He has like 200 acres and he basically walked us through all of it. And the sky was so pretty. I love the country. Then we found this supper nice stray dog, who followed us so we fed him a pickle. We cooked hamburger and bacon and had a bomb dinner. Twas a beauty. 

Friday we had district council which is a good time always. A lesson with christian and felica and another one with colin to see how he was doing. And we played pickle ball. 

Saturday we stopped by brian and the germans again haha. We were going to do service but they didnt want us to. I gave her the german book of mormon and had her read moroni 10 to us, in german of course. And then she kept shoveling food  at us. More apple strudel, cherry pie, apple pie, cheese cake. It just kept comming man. Me and loftus just tried to get jessee to eat as much as he could haha. And then afterwards she brought us all apples and told us to bite into them at the same time. so there was this crunch that basically echoed. Haha it was wack. Then we took a timer picture and right as i clicked take the box slipped so i had 5 seconds to fix it and get into the picture, so its pretty funny. I hit the classic max pic with my tounge out. I think I had 5 water bottles in those 2 hours. 

Sunday was a bomb sac meeting. Loftus spoke and brother chilo came!!! So did a bunch of other people but brother chilo hasnt been in like 2 years!!! We grinded on some dots, and then I learned I have to come up with something to play at our christmas devotional in 3 days on the piano. So pray for me, I'll need it. Then we had dinner at the Scott's which is always the best part of the week. We had chicken cordon blu, and bobcat!! Good stuff.

My spiritual thought this week is about change.  Change, at least for me is a little rough. But everything requires change. We are on this earth to change, and develop and become more like our father in heaven. We have to go through change to create the individual god wants us to be. My favorite thing to say in jesus christ not only know what we are going through, he know how we go through it and were we end up. Its comforting to know I have a plan in my life and whatever help I need, i can pray and ask my savior. 

Also we did a face mask on wednesday haha. I deffinarly think we did it wrong bc it was like putting oatmeal on our faces. But it did make our faces real soft so that was nice haha.
