One More Thing Just At The Last Minute

The closer it came for Max's departure for the field, the more excited and anxious he became. Jacey and I put together a Welcome to the Field package for him to receive when he got there.
In his package, we sent photo books with pictures donated to us by his friends. This was so inspiring because they were actually the hardest thing for him to leave behind. Max loves his friends. After one of his friends came by the Sunday before he left to wish him luck, he tried to pull himself together, and said, "I like people." I know you do handsome man. That is why you are going to be an awesome missionary.
The Thursday before he left, Max had the opportunity to go through the temple with family and friends. It was so nice to be able to take him through before he left.
Max's MTC experience.
The missionary checklist said to bring 8-10 ties. I think Max doubled that amount. His cute friends kept donating to the cause. Got to love it.
Max's attire for the next 2 years.
Max and Trevor Poulson the Sunday before he left.
I am pretty sure these shoes are not going to make it back to Utah, but they touched my heart as they seem to say, "I will go where you want me to go."

More stuff being sent to Kentucky.

The note we sent in the Welcome to Kentucky Package that was sent to the Mission Home to await his arrival. Hopefully it was more fun to receive than the bike and helmet, but who knows? Bikes ARE super exciting!!
