It's All Good - Week #44

What is up!! I'm back for another weekly email. I think I've been doing pretty good at these. Sometimes they're gonna have to act as my journal bc the last 4 transfers I've been spotty at best. But were doing good. Anyway, hoe are you all doing?? I hope well. I'm doing alright. I'll tell you about it.

Tuesday I had absolutely no idea what we were gonna do. Like we had a fat chuck of like 6-7  hours of blank at the start, so I was like alright, planned a English class, called the hermanas about a referral lesson they've been wanting to do, texted like 6 million people. Then carlos who we thought had left to louisville for work ended up being home, so we got a lesson with him, and I convinced the Herrera's to have a lesson with us. Was a struggle at some points but it was solid.

Wednesday we had district council, its not disco anymore it's back to district council. Hughes gave a bomb training as always. After we rolled on over to the caballos and keeneland which is always refreshing bc a horse will just listen to you, they dont talk back. Some of them even close there eyes and out they're head on your forehead or shoulder, it's kinda the best. We drove through the Lexington back roads to some other dots and that was a big blessing ngl. I'm very greatful I'm driving rn. But then we had a lesson with the chavez family, which ended up being a party, but not like one of the $10000 birthday party just some of the Rama members and some cake and empinatas. Then...its was jacey birthday today too so I got to call in and talk a little bit!! Happy birthday jacey!!

Thursday had some more driving and nice meal with the Rodriguez fam. I lowkey was missing like BBQ food, so we had some burger and hot dogs and I felt like an american again. God bless america baby!! We tried to go play soccer and I even was prepped with my cleats so I didn't bust through another set of shoes. But it was raining like crazy so it was canceled.  Eduardo pulled up but it was just us and him so , kinda sad. Then we had a member lesson and that was it.

Friday we got in some service for Ingrid. Ngl it was refreshing after not doing any service for a few weeks. I love me some service. But then we drove out to the middle of no where even though we are already clapped on miles. Tried explaining that one but it's all good. We have volleyball that night too which is always nice.

Saturday we got out riding on our bikes and pretty much didn't stop. It was raining like crazy and then all of a sudden just got up to like 95 with the sun, it was kinda awful but kinda fun. Had a few lessons fall through but it wasn't too bad. Got to have soccer night. So many people showed up it was insane!! I got a pic with eduardo but I really dont like how it turned out. Ya hate to see it.

Sunday was good old Iglesia always good. We had a lesson at these appartment complexes and there was a fiesta going on over there. Atkinson wanted to go contact other doors in the area but I was like nah its fiesta time. It was sick!! I'm homies with the people there now and told them about my habanero storys and when elder bird wouldn't cut the carolina reaper and if you know you know. Showed them all some pictures of my mission and when I was a baby. It was nice! I think Atkinson tried to stand on a chair and preach but it didn't work out so well. But then we had a lesson with the Herrera's, and stoped by the chavez family too. Was pretty solid day.

This week I've really been working on positivity through gratitude. And genuinely I feel likes it's been helping me get through everyday. If it's just admiring Lexington as im biking in the rain and shine, or playing the piano we moved into our apartment. I'm doing good staying up on my mindset. It really does help. I've only got 1 more year on my mission left so I'm going to do my best to make the most of it.

Te amo
