It's All Good - Week #6
This week was bomb!! I can hardly remember what we did half the week, but I'll do my best hahah.
Monday we had dinner with some members AND Cary!! Cary's so sick. They made some bomb bratwurst and hamburgers, and I ate way to much.
Tuesday I learned that Elder Brandner weighs him self before and after taking dumps. Kinda weird.
Wednesday we did service for some old people, and their garden smelled soooooo bad, like sewage bad. Elder Bird almost threw up bad, but they were soo nice and gave us a bunch of eggs, bacon, cookies, and tuna salad for some reason. They were cool. We also had los bravos with a member...but then we got a text from pres saying until the transfer is over, we can't have meals with members. So that sucked but it's all good.
Thursday was the last district council and we ended with a bop!! The Zone Leaders were there and they are homies, and I am pretty sure we are like legit legit the presidents favorite district. (Shhh don't tell anybody). So it's always a party and I'll miss them. Later in the day we had Spanish/English class. That was hype.
Friday was kinda boring, but we had a Zoom call with the mission about the talk Let God Prevail. Haha it's a pretty good one if you haven't listened to it.
And Saturday was transfers!! Dun dun dunnn!!
So we did like 4 hours of studies and president still didn't call us. So we had lunch and worked with Facebook for another 2 hours and finally at the end we got a call. Elder Bird is leaving the nest and going to Louisville, Okalona!! And I'm staying with Elder Brandner and in Jasper!! We are splitting it into 2 areas with 2 more elders living with us. Sooo that'll be fun! Right? We only have 1 bathroom. Fetch. Also, Spanish teaching is gonna be something because we won't have Elder Bird to clutch up anymore. RIP
So we have been practicing A TON in Spanish lessons. I think we've messed up a ton too hahah.
I feel like even though its sad, it's been a great week. I know Pajaro will be awesome in Okalona. Plus this week I got some guitar lessons from Hermana Martin, and she's going to be cutting my hair today!! She's going to Crestwood somewhere though, so well miss her. I can play a bomb Leaves From the Vine, and the verses of I See the Light. Haha I just need lots of help with chords. We also had tacos like 4 times this week so I loved that.
The people in this area, the district, and the zone are all amazing!! I love each and every one of them. They all have Christlike attributes and are amazing children of God!!
I don't have my journal right now bc we are at a district p-day, but I'll put the lil cosas in next week's email.
It's also my dad's birthday tomorrow!! So wish him happy birthday!!
We also had a siiick storm on Friday!! There was a tornado warning, but we didn't get one. I was kinda bummed out, but it's probably for the best. The rain was wild though.
Te amo
